“Who Sits on the Throne?” - 10am Traditional Eucharist

Oct 25, 2026  •  The Rev. Charlie Holt

This sermon teaches that the foundation of a faithful Christian life is found in Jesus’ two greatest commandments: loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving our neighbors as ourselves, allowing these priorities to guide every decision, relationship, and action. Drawing from Matthew 22, it explains that rather than becoming consumed by political divisions, religious arguments, or conflicting opinions, believers must look beneath surface-level disagreements and align their deepest desires and motivations with God's love and purposes. Ultimately, the sermon challenges Christians to recognize that the most important question is not simply what takes priority in their lives, but who sits on the throne of their hearts, calling them to surrender completely to Jesus Christ as their Lord and King.
